During my study as well as my time as a web developer at the tinami GbR in Germany Eclipse PDT was my primary development IDE. Since I’m working at Webfauna in the Netherlands I’m workling with the big brother of Eclipse PDT, the Zend Studio. Even if I was a student I used short cuts. Now that I’m an employed web developer I use a much more shortcuts than before. Everyone knows that “time is money”. Using shortcuts accelerates the development process rapidly. That results in decreasing production costs for applications.

I just arrived at home from my daily sail trip. Today we had nearly no wind in Amsterdam. Therefore I thought these must be the perfect weather conditions for me as starter. I had to know it better. How could I forget what my sister told me a few years ago? She works as a snowboard instructor. And she told me that she sends all starter not to the lazy idiot course but well to the blue course. I asked her if she didn’t aspect to much from her beginners. She told me: “They’ll learn it better under real conditions.”

I was just writing an article about browser engines and wanted to include some additional links. Thereby I saw that Microsoft’s web site isn’t available at present. My Google result list showed www.microsoft.com as the first result. So far, so good. But if I tried to open that resource I got an error page instead of the expected web page.
Supplement
According to my flatmate it happens frequently that Microsoft’s web page is unavailable. It seams like a wrong configured DNS server causes this problem.
