Thanks to my dad since today his sail boat which is now more or less my sail boat lays at the Gaasperplas here in Amsterdam. Since last week I’m a member of the ZVG zeilvereniging gaasperplas, the sail club Gaasperplas. From tomorrow on I will start teach sailing by myself. I’m very happy about having a boat that close to my new living place. Within 20 till 30 minutes I can reach the boat via Metro and bike. And because I got an own key for the terrain I can sail as much and when every I want to.

One week ago I participate on my first regatta, the Pieperrace 2010, with the Broedertrouw. The Pieperrace is a regatta that will be raced with traditional flat bottomed boats. It is a two day spectacle for skippers, sailors and tourists.The Pieperrace takes place in Volendam since 1985. This year the organizers hold their 26th Pieperrace. In complete 52 ships participate on the race this year.
