I knew that this will happen. But I don’t thought that it would happen that fast. Someone has stolen my bike. Well, that’s Amsterdam. The city of tiny canals, buy-able love, weed and mushrooms. But let me explain what happen in detail.
Yesterday I set down my bike on a lamp. This morging I was very surprised to see a toilet instead of my bike standing on that place. My first thought was: “Oh, maybe I left my bike at the Nieuwemarkt, where I celebrated yesterday.” My second thought was: “No, dude! You walked to the Nieuwemarkt because you’ve planed to have a couple of beers.” But finally I wasn’t that shocked. Maybe I already knew what I know now. I just visited the website of the city of Amsterdam to inform myself about what is allowed with bikes and what is not. Thereby I found the information I was looking for. I wasn’t allowed to put my bike on a lamp. In urgent cases the city is allowed to remove these unallowed placed bikes and to set them down on a special parking place for bikes. Well, I’m not sure at all. But I think … no, I hope, that the city has removed my bike and I’ll get it back next week. Otherwise I had to pay the fee … and buy a new one.
