As a habitant of Amsterdam sure I really need a bike. It’s one of the most common transport vehicles in the Netherlands. Specially Amsterdam is a paradise for bikers. The city is full of bike lanes. Bikers may even ride in the wrong direction at one way lanes.
Not only that I bought a bike, but I bought a typical dutch bike. The Dutch people call this bike a oma fiets, what means grandmother bike. And as you can image old people aspect luxury and comfort. My bike has no luxury goods. But is is definitely comfortable.
In Amsterdam you can buy bikes everywhere. Even on the street. But most of the bikes you can buy on the street are stolen bikes. Therefore I decide to buy my bike in a bike store. And I was very surprised to find a really cheap one. I bought that bike for round about 150,- EUR at Fietspiraat.
